Dr Sarah Spraitzar
Dr. Sarah is a transplant to the El Paso area who has proudly called it home since 2011. She completed her medical training at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and further specialty training in anesthesiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. As a result, her holistic, functional medicine practice melds artfully with years of experience with traditional Western medicine, particularly the excellent crisis management care that operating rooms and ICUs can provide. In addition to the various duty stations in the Army, Dr. Sarah has been on medical missions to Vietnam, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Mexico.
Her true passion has always been in holistic healing, whereby the body is given the tools to regenerate itself. At the age of 18, she was diagnosed with an “incurable” chronic disease and told that she would never attend college, let alone have the stamina for medical training. Using the principles of regenerative medicine, a naturopathic doctor helped her completely recover and never “relapse.” Ever since, she has studied the principles of holistic healing for herself and her family. She studied directly under A. Van Beveren, PhD., and extensively read the works of Royal Lee, Weston Price, and Ayurvedic healing. She now approaches disease looking to discover and reverse the root cause, not simply “manage” or mask the symptoms with pharmaceuticals.
When she was diagnosed with an “incurable” bladder/pelvic disease, her learning went deeper into the neuroscience behind healing psychopathophysiologic disorders such as interstitial cystitis, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, fibromyalgia, and many others. Not only was she completely cured, but she has desired to help other patients do the same. She has dedicated years of additional study under world-renowned Robert Echenberg, MD, of The Echenberg Institute for Pelvic and Sexual Pain, and incorporates his top-down, bottom-up approach in addition to her holistic, nutritional support to help others recover from these debilitating illnesses.
Dr Mariana Yates
As a board-certified Endocrinologist, Dr. Yates has seen many patients who need a deeper level of care beyond just managing a disease. Empowering her patients with a commitment to understanding the roots of their disease process in order to most effectively treat and heal is a primary goal for her.
Patients need to feel better to function better! And knowledge provides the power to do so.
Patients need to heal, and in her quest for finding answers, she has studied holistic approaches to improve the function of the endocrine system. This process provides a higher and more intimate level of care for her patients.
”I am excited to work together with you to help you achieve a healthier, fuller life!”
